Quick Lunch @Ding Tai Fung: Tien Mu Sogo

Since I only had 80 minutes of school lunch time (including back-and-forth transportation time), my lunch at Ding Tai Fung was super short and sweet. It was my first time at the Tien Mu branch store. It took around 10 minutes waiting in line, but the dining experience was definitely great. Here is a post on my three all-time favorites at Ding Tai Fung, enjoy!

1) XIAO LONG BAO (190nt/10pcs)
There is definitely a reason why Japanese tourists come all the way to Taiwan for Ding Tai Fung's xiao long bao. Made-to-order and handmade by the chefs, this has always been the #1 bestseller at Ding Tai Fung. Though each bite you take costs almost 20nt, the amazing food-to-tongue experience is all worth it.

2) SHRIMP FRIED RICE
Fried rice comes in two options: white rice and brown rice. If you're a healthy eater you might want to try brown rice (though I'd say fried brown rice at Ding Tai Fung doesn't taste the best). The serving size is great for two 80% hungry people to share, which is quite satisfactory.
Quick note: The quantity of shrimps in the fried rice always makes me happy!

3) CHICKEN SOUP
In true Asian culture, a meal is never complete without the soup. Chicken soup is also extremely popular at Ding Tai Fung. I feel like it is one of those kinds of chicken soup that tastes like real chicken soup---no taste of extra salt or MSG. Definitely not enough for sharing, so do order your own!
