Yoshinoya: Beyond the Classic Beef Rice

Established in 1899, Yoshinaya is the one of the most popular Japanese fast food restaurants. It is well known for its delicious gyudon (beef rice), reasonable in price and excellent in meal delivery speed. Yoshinoya is available in the following countries: Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia, and USA (Arizona, California, Texas, Las Vegas, and New York).

TAIWANESE VERSION OF YOSHINOYA

If you are 90-100% HUNGRY, definitely go for the large CLASSIC YOSHINOYA GYUDON. There's no beef rice anywhere that tastes like the beef rice from Yoshinoya. Though I never really liked onions, the sliced onions in the gyudon were pretty sweet and edible to me. I would also recommend KIMCHI GYUDON, topped with egg and green onions. Good news is, kimchi at Yoshinoya is definitely a fit for those who have spicy appetites.

Let's say you just had a snack and you're around 70% HUNGRY, I would highly recommend SAKURA COLD NOODLES, topped with seaweed and sesame, and sided with soba dipping sauce and wasabi. I tried this back in July on a really hungry day, and I ended up having to splurge on a second dinner. Besides the small/medium serving size, I did enjoy the pretty pink noodles a lot more when I ordered it again on a not-so-hungry Friday afternoon.

When you're only 30% HUNGRY, and can't handle a huge bowl of rice, here is your solution: KID'S MEAL.This is a healthier version of gyudon balanced out with veggies. The kid's meal was a pretty decent combo---served with calpis and a small jelly for dessert.
