-55°C Sashimi

-55°C is a Japanese restaurant that specializes in Japanese sashimi, sushi, set meals, and yakimono (Japanese grill). It is located in a small alley at Dong Chu, across from the bakery Ca Sent Bon. The sashimi at -55°C is well-known for its quality---the fish is caught, gutted and stored at the optimum temperature of -55°C. I would recommend this place for an informal family dinner/friend gathering.

TEMAKI SUSHI (50NT)
Temaki sushi, also known as hand-rolled sushi, is a great appetizer and a popular casual Japanese food. The conelike form of temaki incorporates rice, and specially prepared seaweed called nori, Ingredients of the temaki sushi from the photo below include: crab meat, cucumber, fish eggs, rice, and seaweed.

GRILLED SUSHI SET (8pcs/190NT)
Specially recommended to those who cannot stand the fishy taste of raw fish sushi. Salmon, squid, and different kinds of fish are used as ingredients, topped with special sushi sauce, sprinkles, and green onions. I would highly recommend this dish, for it is definitely one of my personal favorites.

YAKIZAKANA(250NT)
Yakizakana, also known as Japanese style grilled fish, is one of the most classic dishes in the Japanese dining culture. Since Japan has a huge fishing industry, fish is almost present in all daily meals, even breakfast. Yakizakana is usually made quite salty, so a bowl of rice is strongly recommended.

YAKITORI (120NT)
Yakitori literally means grilled chicken, which is commonly a type of Japanese skewered chicken. The yakitori is made from several bite-sized pieces of chicken meat, skewered on a bamboo skewer and grilled, and topped with sesame for mostly aesthetic purposes.

SUSHI&SASHIMI COMBO (700NT)
Perfect for 4-6 people to share. It is a pretty classic sushi combination that includes everyone's favorite tuna and salmon sashimi, and sided with small cucumber sushis. Needless to say, the sashimi's freshness is at its maximum quality. The soy sauce and wasabi provided are pretty mild, which wouldn't be a problem for most customers.
